Isopleths!

So I figured I'd share with everyone what I just did for the past 2 and half hours.

Yeah, that's about the jist of it. I drew lines between numbers. Sounds easy doesn't it? It's not, when you have over 200 numbers and they jump in values all over the place. My drawing in MS Paint is pretty bad ass though I have to admit. Makes me want to do some editing and turn it into something even cooler. Be right back...

Uh huh. I went there. WATCH OUT FOR THE EVIL MAN-EATING NORTH AMERICAN (sans Canada) CONTINENT! Fuck, I'm awesome.

(edit: I just realized that I put way too many ! in my blog titles. That's going to have to change)

Yes, I'm still alive...

Since my schedule has changed I haven't gotten back in my normal habit of writing my blog everyday that I'm at work. I'm now only at work from 5 - midnight on Thursday, noon - 7 on Friday, and 7 - midnight on Sunday. And right now those times are spent working on homework that I already have stacking up. My classes are pretty boring, at least the Csci and Calc classes are. I feel sorry for everyone in my csci class that has never learned any type of programming, because they really jump right into the material without giving any background. Luckily I have had the most basic of programming experience so I'm not completely lost. I end up having to help quite a few people out in my lab class since the TA can't speak much english, and doesn't seem to understand the questions directed at him either. Calc is tough mainly just because of the fact that my professor is once again struggling with english. He's a really nice guy though, does his best to help out everyone when he can, and even goes lenient on grading to make sure everyone does well. I do have to sit there in class and listen to little freshmen fratties snicker about his accent though and find myself being distracted over and over. I'd really love to just smack a couple of them upside the head one day. The one course that I'm really going to enjoy though is my Weather Forecasting and Analysis class. It's not easy stuff at all, but it's definitely interesting to me and I can't wait to see how I do with it. That's all for now, but I'll try and get back on a regular schedule with these things.

Oh yeah, congrats to Kenneth on his new job at UGA. Also congrats to other people I know who have moved on or are moving on in the very new future.

Sorry all you faithful readers...

...of which I'm sure there's a huge number. It's been 10 days since my 40th post, that's no good. But I'm sitting here at work on Sunday night at about 8 pm and was just observing something that I might as well report on (plus it gives me a chance to show off my badass MS paint skills.) First off, there's a weird guy standing in the reading room to my left, just standing there staring down the hallway to my right. Here's a diagram:

So I first noticed this on the way from the my desk to the bathroom a few minutes ago. I walk by and he's just in this big empty room standing there leaning against a bookshelf staring. I figured he must just be lost in thought and would probably be gone when I came back. Nope. I head back and there he is still. I even just checked again a few seconds ago to make sure he was still there. Of course he is. Now the question is will I make it through till 10 o'clock without him murdering me and everyone else in the building...

POST 40!

Did you really think I'd make it to 40 separate posts? Admit it, you never thought I would. I truly feel I am different now than I was a year ago. Even though my situation in life hasn't changed that much, I feel like I have a much brighter outlook on life and what lies ahead of me. That said, I hate working at 8 am. I never thought I'd have to work in the morning here at the SLC again, but apparently I'm stuck doing it this week and the next. But then school starts and it becomes my saving grace.

I'm headed to VA this weekend to see my mom and steal my cat back. I gotta say I really have missed having a pet around. I'm mainly just looking forward to getting away from here for a few days and not having to worry about any real responsibilities.

I did end my pre-calc class on a high note yesterday, getting a B on the final, and probably guaranteeing at least a B in the course. Or maybe a B- with this stupid new +/- grading system. I'm mainly just glad to be through with the class and moving on to other things. Although as I sat there waiting to take the test I overheard people coming from a calculus final saying how it was the hardest test they had ever taken, and now I think about how I have that to look forward to in 2 weeks. I knew this before, but I've learned it's vital now...the teacher is really what makes the class. So hopefully I'll get lucky and be graced with a decent calc professor.

Feeling update: Tired (it's 8 am dammit!)
